A design studio that accidentally became a product company.
It started with our own desks. A stand for the laptop, a tray for the pens, a dock for everything that charges.
We made the first versions for ourselves, then for friends, then for friends of friends. Each object went through the same questions we ask of any design: how is it picked up, set down, carried and cleaned? What does it look like on day one thousand?
FORME is what came out of those questions. Twelve numbered objects for desks, commutes, travel and daily life. They share a palette, a small family of materials and a way of labelling things, so they live well together and look right wherever they land.
A label, rather than a logo.
The FORME wordmark is drawn from uniform strokes with a perfectly circular O, a quiet reference to an object. It sits on boxes, tags and seals the way a maker’s mark sits on a product.
